Future Endeavors

As the field of disabilities changes and grows, so do the goals and objectives of our agencies. Our future endeavors reflect the areas where we will focus our efforts in the upcoming months, while continuing to adapt and change this list as the needs of the community we serve evolve.

• Breaking down the barriers to services for persons who "challenge the system.”
• Developing a common “Needs Assessment” for services and supports for persons with developmental disabilities in the state.
• Developing an integrated State Developmental Disabilities Plan and prioritizing key targets in such areas as Housing and Transportation.
• Promoting collaboration between the Consumer-led Councils of each of our agencies to identify and address the key needs in our state.
